Actor Joe Locke has something to say about the fanboy personality of Billy in the first 5 episodes of Agatha All Along:

“I never saw it as [fake]. I think that was still a big part of him. He still loved it and was having like a great time.” I am very interested in how they will reconcile the different elements of his personality. One of the things I really enjoy about Agatha All Along is the character complexity I see in both Agatha and Billy.

It still feels like I’m breaking all the rules, according to Joe Locke, speaking for the first time about playing Billy Maximoff.

“The connections between Agatha’s history and her son and Billy just felt so potent,” says “Agatha All Along” creator Jac Schaeffer, “as much for the character of Agatha as for the mystery potential for the audience.”

Joe Locke‘s career trajectory continues to blow my mind. Coming from the tiny IoM with no professional acting experience but a raw, shining talent, an insane work ethic, and a will and wish to fulfill, debuting on stage and screen in the same year. From Netflix to Marvel, from the West End to Broadway. Aged 20 now. I’m so happy to see his star rise high and higher! Joe, we are so proud of you.

Joe has often talked about that and how many of his friends from the IoM tried to break out, but because of how still classical childhood actors the whole system is, they didn’t make it and went back. That Joe, without the fancy acting classes, all that going abroad to expensive schools, no child acting at all, made it… mindblowing! The stars aligned for this one!

I cannot think too much about how far Joe Locke has come without getting all teary-eyed! He just was revealed to be on the cover of Rolling Stone UK. That is HUGE! I met him in New York earlier this year, and he was just so kind and a sweetheart. He’s got such a refreshing aura around him, and hearing what Kathryn said about him makes my heart warm. I wish only good things for him, and I’m looking forward to the new show.
