Autor’s Notes:

Don’t Look Up. Fabulous, funny film! If you love satire, and especially if you liked the series VEEP or were a fan of the Saturday Night Live sketches, then you’re going to be spell-bound by this movie.

The movie’s steady pulse, rip-roaring humor, and satirical value all make it an incredible representation of the frequent misleads and manipulations of our social, media, and political structures based on what benefits others, whether it be financially, as a means to gain or boost their power, or increase ratings.

The film, while obviously a comedy, will also make the more intelligent viewer wonder if this occurred in our current society. How many of the satirical themes would indeed have been repeated by many people’s actions or reactions? How much political shenanigans and personal agendas would have been played by those individuals in wealth, power, or the public limelight in general?
