Ranma 1/2 (2024): Netflix Anime Trailer Review

Netflix Anime/Reviews: Ranma Saotome is a boy more special than you might imagine. The fun adventures of ‘Ranma 1/2’ arrive on October 5. Netflix has released the official trailer. In this review, we analyze the trailer’s key moments, characters, and potential success.

Wow, this takes me way back! This was my first anime! I was so hooked on the show, OVAs, and movies growing up! The animation in this remake looks amazing! This was my first anime, along with Magic Knight: Rayearth. I actually loved this as a 10-year-old girl! So happy to see all my childhood favorites.

It is a great remake because it never got a conclusion. I mean based on source material, unlike that One Piece, still ongoing, already getting an unnecessary remake.

Ranma 1/2 Returns: A Fresh Take on the Classic

Main Characters:

  • Ranma Saotome
  • Akane Tendo
  • Ryoga Hibiki

Looking at the trailer, it looks like a pretty nice remaster. I remember back in the day the Blu-ray was pretty good-looking as far as color and detail but not as smooth as this. I wonder if they’ve done some frame blending to bring it up to 30fps and make it look smoother.

Ranma 1/2 (2024): Netflix Trailer Review

I’m going to trust that the deep reverence (as is right) for Rumiko Takahashi and her body of work will mean this will be as fun and respectful as the Urusei Yatsura remake was, even though they were made by different studios. I watched the original Ranma 1/2 anime again, and it’s still hilarious, so it’s a pretty high bar, but I’ll give this a chance. It certainly helps that a lot of the original Japanese voice cast will be returning as well!

Ranma 1/2: A Splash of Nostalgia and New Adventures

I used to watch Ranma 1/2 as a kid, and I enjoyed the series a lot and introduced it to my younger cousin when he was older. We got fond memories of watching this series. I hope this will be a fun remake. Hopefully this gets a bigger viewership than the Yashahime and Urusei Yatsura remake; can we also hope for a Maison Ikkoku remake? Rumiko Takahashi is GOATED!

I’m so excited for a whole new generation of people to fall in love with this anime!
