So, Beetlejuice 2 is finally hitting theaters! Here’s the highly anticipated sequel to the 1988 cult classic. Get ready to go to the afterlife with Lydia Deetz and Beetlejuice. Don’t miss this spooky comedy adventure!
The original will be impossible to top, but I am hopeful that this sequel will do well by the first film. It’s a decent nostalgia trip that is fun and doesn’t try too hard to be something spectacular. Judging by the earlier reactions, I think I might hope that this is going to be good. Hopefully I’m right.
That would put it behind only Deadpool & Wolverine and Inside Out 2 for opening weekend. That’ll be a great start for Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. People have been waiting a long time for a sequel to Beetlejuice. The anticipation alone is going to cause a spike in ticket sales.
‘Beetlejuice 2’ is tracking to open with $105M+ domestically. One of the biggest domestic openings of 2024. This movie is going to be something special. Well deserved. If you’re going to make a 30-year-old sequel, this is how you do it.

No matter how the movie turns out, I just know Michael Keaton is going to be great. He’s put 110% into playing Beetlegeuse.

Michael Keaton hasn’t played Beetlegeuse in like 30 years. Yet the moment he comes back to play the role in the sequel, it feels like it was just yesterday that he finished playing Beetlejuice in the first movie. What a legend he is, so blessed to live at the same time as he does. If you have been good at the role since day 1, then there are some things you’ll never forget.
If I wasn’t somehow already sold on how flawlessly Michael Keaton slipped back into character, or how they managed to get the original cast back, having Willem Dafoe on the cast list is the perfect bow on the gift to this generation.
