Should Apple include color-matched USB-C cables with the iPhone? I was amazed that they didn’t. The iMac accessories have been around for a long time. I’d like colored USB-C cables, colored stickers, colored AirPods, etc. They found it difficult to add colors to the phones; not even the boxes had colors.
Neutral colors like black and white, sure. Otherwise, no, in my opinion. Not that it wouldn’t be cool, but too many people, imo, would want color-matched cables and stop using them if they didn’t look good together.
That’s a great idea, though maybe some of these colors should be muted like on iMac accessories? But wait! Don’t give them (Apple) any ideas; they’ll probably start removing the cable from the box and charging extra for a cable in the color of your choice. Would’ve been dope, but we know why they don’t do it. It would cost them too much, which they aren’t willing to do. They are all about the bottom line, unfortunately.
The lack of color-matched USB-C cables in the iPhone box has sparked a conversation about whether Apple should include them. Apple is known for its attention to design. The lack of a color-matched cable seems out of place for a company so focused on the user experience.

A range of color options would also increase the complexity of production. Different dyes, materials, and manufacturing processes would all come into play. In the grand scheme, it might seem like an unnecessary environmental cost.
iPhone USB-C: Many users already feel that iPhones are expensive, so an additional price hike for something like a matching cable might not be welcome. Apple could face backlash if prices go up for what some may consider a superficial feature. Some users might not even care about matching cables and could feel they’re paying extra for something they don’t need.
