Apple’s Air-Style iPhone: Coming in 2025

Gadgets: In 2025, Apple plans to launch a thinner Air-style iPhone. New model will sit between iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro.

I look forward to the iPhone 17 Pro being thinner than the iPhone 17 Air. The new naming strategy for the iPhone is likely to be the same as for Mac and iPad. iPhone for the basic models, iPhone Air for the mid-range and iPhone Pro for the flagship. Maybe the model number will be dropped.

A thinner iPhone will no doubt happen. Apple is fascinated with everything. Personally, I would prefer a thicker iPhone with more battery life. Every other product from Apple actually got thicker over the years.
That’s one reason why it’s doubtful that this is actually happening.

That is 100% certain now. They won’t be able to do something like that in a year. And above all, they aren’t just starting to build something new now. They will already have endless designs.

I’ve always wanted a small modern iPhone (like Mini) above everything else. So I’ll hope they’ll keep the mini form factor around for a while and maybe add iPad Air-style Touch ID next year. If only they could get rid of the notch as well.
