Fashion/Sneakers: Nike AIR JORDAN 4 Review. Our review dives deep into performance comfort and style to help you decide Soar like MJ or land flat. Read on for the verdict on this iconic basketball sneaker.
Friends, finally the time has come when we will unbox Nike’s Air Jordan 4. Earlier, we had already unboxed the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 3, and Air Jordan 5. It was a different experience. We will cover the entire Air Jordan line-up and review. If we talk about the beauty of this box, it is a black color box. In the front of which you will get to see the ‘Flight’ Air Jordan 1 logo, which is looking beautiful.
The Air Jordan 4 is a classic basketball shoe designed by Tinker Hatfield. It was first released in 1989.
Also, you will get to see water or paint splashes, like designs, all over the black box. Its model number is written here as the Air Jordan 4 Retro. Guys, different shades of yellow give a different feeling. Just look at these guys. This is the Nike Air Jordan 4 Thunder. Well, why is it yellow if its name is Thunder? I don’t know. Whenever there is thunder, everything around us turns black.
You will mostly get to see two colors on this sneaker, black and yellow, which gives it a very beautiful chromatic look. You will almost get to see the whole body of leather where Durabuck leather has been used, which is Nike’s patent leather. But you will be shocked if you hear the real name Durabuck. We will come to this later. Well, you will get to see many leather patches. The finish of the leather is very smooth and velvety. It does not feel exactly like velvet. But it feels smooth.
Nike Air Jordan 4 Review: Flight or Flop?
The whole inner lining of the shoe is made of mesh. You can see the mesh on the side here. The mesh is yellow, on top of which has rubber or plastic. And this is the typical design of the Air Jordan 4.
You will get to see this net and mesh work . The padding is amazing. You will get to see a leather patch on the upper par, on which Air Jordan’s jumpman is made with textile fabric. Flight is written below. The inner material of the tongue seems very furry and smooth. Usually, there is large patching in other sneakers in which the name of the brand will be written and many other details will be there. There will be information about the size.
You get a black patch inside it where the Air Jordan is written upside down. Why is it written upside down? To show it to anyone from the front, if we talk about the padding on the inside, you will not have any complaints.
Performance, Comfort & Style (In-Depth)
The Sneakers are so comfortable. I recently wore it to a Google event to test it so that I could tell you exactly, and there was amazing comfort in it. Literally, I wore it for 6-7 hours straight, and I didn’t face any problems. At the start and end of the lace holes, you will get to see two large yellow-colored net-like patches, which are part of the typical design of the Air Jordan 4. It looks very beautiful overall.
However, the patch at the back is large and goes to the bottom. The back of the Air Jordan 4 features a large rubber patch with textured detailing. This patch sits directly below the iconic logo. Let’s remove the tongue, and let’s go into detail. Nobody will take it out and show you something like this.
The upper lining of the insole is furry, and you will get Jumpman’s logo at the bottom. The cushioning of the insole is not very extraordinary. If we talk about the outer sole, you will get to see two colors. You get to see yellow in the midsole. Air compartment in between, which is their air unit. You all know about Nike Air. If we talk about the bottom, then you will get to see Jumpman’s logo here.
Must-Haves or Overhyped?
It is not at all light-weight. The sneakers seems heavy. The Air Jordan 4 boasts a head-turning design but watch out for the sole. Unlike what you’d expect for a 25000 sneaker, the yellow color on the sole is just paint and not a more durable material.
Also, if we talk about the second problem, which is not exactly a problem. Durabuck is the patent name of Nike. It’s actually synthetic leather.
