Sakamoto Days: A Hilarious Action-Packed Ride You Won't Want to Miss

THIS TRAILER MADE ME SMILE FOR REAL. I’m a huge fan of the manga; I think it is one of the best new-gen, super funny, and great action. I hope fellas on the internet can shadow the animation critics, because the pencil-drawn style in the manga was criticized at first, but it allows it to be super fluid. Trust me, this show will get better and better. They will invest more in animation if that is necessary.

Sakamoto Days (Anime) Final Trailer Review | Netflix

I’ve seen people complain about the animation, but I enjoy this approach. The action style from this trailer fits the tone of the series. It’s not choppy animation and it isn’t being replaced with still-frames. There is still some great animated sequences here.

Sakamoto Days (Anime) Final Trailer Review

The unrealistic aspects of the action can have short-cuts while still fitting the tone and still working in conjunction with the rest of the animation. It also looks like there is room to add to the animation budget if it takes off because there still a mix of animation styles. It doesn’t look like it would be out of place to animate with a better frame rate.

Sakamoto Days (Anime) on Netflix: Ex-assassin. Now a shopkeeper. Enemies return. Hilarious action. Don't miss it!

Even if the animation isn’t god tier, it still looks like a really fun anime. Animation does not need to be a Mappa-animated masterpiece for a show to be good. And, FINALLY, an anime where we see actual hand-to-hand combat! No superpowers, no fancy visual effects. just straight hands!

Keep on hiring actors from your shows to dub your anime, Netflix. I’m for it. Maybe if we’re lucky, we’ll get Millie Bobby Brown to voice an anime princess.
