According to a recently conducted survey, 73 percent of iPhone users said the Apple Intelligence adds little value to their experience. “It’s ridiculous that every AI feature requires a 15 Pro or newer. It doesn’t really serve a purpose since Siri is still useless compared to Google Assistant/Gemini, and we’re already seeing notification summaries be not that useful at best and just straight-up disinformation at worst.
Too little, too late. Actually, tools that we’ve seen of Apple Intelligence are the less important ones. What we are going to have in the next steps is the important one.
I’m accustomed to opening either the X or ChatGPT apps in order to use Artificial Intelligence. The Apple intelligence features and gestures seem to keep me one step removed from using ChatGPT, if rather just opening the app. From what I’ve used, the writing tools are the standout feature.
Genmoji and image playgrounds are fun, but I rarely find myself using them. Summaries are very useful for Mail, and I really have enjoyed that a ton. I still just use the ChatGPT app for almost all of my AI needs. It’s nice to at least have the option and ability to use it if I need to. I like playing around on the image playground.

User Survey: I haven’t really noticed much of a change. Had high hopes, but it’s been a big nothing so far. I would have expected much more around search and photo experience. To get any real value, I’d have to add yet another subscription to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
I think Apple’s rush to get something out and then the delay in releasing them all. The fact that they pushed the whole iPhone 16 line as “built from the ground up for AI, and the AI part isn’t really there.
If there were a better marketing campaign with maybe dedicated phrases to do complex things that would make people’s lives easier, people would get more out of it.
Make some commercials with average-looking people saying catchy phrases to make the phone go through maybe some type of common routine that AI is capable of.
